How to dry tomorrow: Exhaust air-free drying based on heat pumps – CO2- and energy-saving technology as the solution
In Jonas List's presentation, you will learn how medical technology products, as sensitive goods, require stress-free treatment. With its alternative approach, heat pump-based drying combines seemingly contradictory attributes: low temperatures, short times, and best results.
Anyone who wants to be well positioned for the future is on the lookout for powerful yet energy-efficient technologies. Even the seemingly minor process step of drying plays a role here, as the associated production processes are very energy-intensive. It is worth taking a critical look at conventional and alternative methods. In many places, dehumidification techniques are still used that consume a lot of energy and CO2 and also generate a high level of exhaust air. This is a burden on both the environment and the operators' wallets.
Condensation drying with a heat pump is a process that has been tried and tested for over 30 years and is constantly being optimised. This type of drying not only recovers heat, but also runs the process air in a closed air circuit. Drying without exhaust air makes this type of dehumidification special. It also offers maximum quality and safety, even in clean rooms and after sterilisation.
You will learn how the technology works, where it can be used and what diverse advantages it offers users. An example from a specific project rounds off the practical presentation.
