Innovative marking options
The new silicone sample plate 3.0 offers a few remarkable highlights. With dimensions of 120 x 160 mm and a thickness of 2.7 mm, it is now available in two colors: elegant black and a cool white. Both variants impress through a new property for silicone, as they contain a color changing additive. This additive facilitates the individual marking of silicone components with a laser to create serial numbers, product information or decorative elements. Depending on the individual color chosen, it is possible to select a color change to black or white, thus creating an optimum contrast after the laser process. According to ISO 10993-5, the laser changing colors employed are harmless when in contact with skin (cytotoxicity) and approved by the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), the FDA and USP Class 6.
Design meets utility
A particular highlight is the integrated lenticular image. Different motives become visible on the same surface when the plate is tilted. In addition, the sample plate 3.0 offers numerous 3D structures with hologram surfaces. These innovative features enable the creation of unique hallmarks in silicone components, thus ensuring their
authenticity.
