The Medical Manufacturing industry sector
The Medical Manufacturing industry sector (SIS-MM) is one of 25 industry sectors within the Swissmem association. Any industry partner in Switzerland or Liechtenstein that is a member of Swissmem and a supplier or distributor in the medtech industry can join the SIS-MM.
Our areas of focus
The SIS-MM covers the entire medtech value chain and welcomes start-ups in particular.
The members of the SIS-MM are active especially in areas such as manufacturing technology and processes, machinery and tools for the production of medical devices. These include implants, prostheses, surgical instruments and medical equipment as well as in-vitro diagnostics, medical disposables and products and technologies used in laboratory automation.
Our objectives
The Medical Manufacturing SIS consolidates and coordinates the common interests of its members. We support the members in developing, producing and selling high-performance technologies and products in Switzerland and abroad.
In particular, SIS-MM promotes the use of new manufacturing technologies and digitalization strategies in lectures and workshops, and helps members to network with other industry sectors, partners and institutes so that they can access the latest technologies, methods and processes and benefit from an exchange of expertise and promote innovation.
