Metallic materials, processing and service. Everything from a single source. Everything but standard. We love it!
Sawing – milling – deep hole drilling – 5-axis machining – grinding. Everything from a single source. Added value included. High-quality products form the basis of our range of services, but it is the service ‘around the product’ that generates the decisive factor in achieving customer benefit.
The history of thyssenkrupp Materials Schweiz AG dates back to 1927. Starting out as a stainless steel distributor, our company, which currently employs around 110 people, has developed into a materials service provider with a high level of expertise in consulting, materials and services. Our 360° service strategy, ‘Materials as a Service’ (MaaS), aims to support customers throughout the entire supply chain with beneficial services and added value. A key component of MaaS is the individual and customer-specific pre-processing of components and materials.
Growing with customer requirements
With its wide range of high-quality metallic materials, thyssenkrupp Materials Schweiz AG has become a sparring partner for its customers. We work together to analyse and optimise production processes. As a result, we are increasingly taking on additional processing steps and assuming the role of an extended workbench and integrated system supplier.
Materials and deep hole drilling from a single source
Sawing – milling – deep hole drilling – 5-axis machining – surface grinding: the machining options at thyssenkrupp Materials Schweiz are as diverse and individual as its customers from the mould and tool making, machine manufacturing, medical technology and watchmaking industries. The combination of ‘material and deep hole drilling’ is very popular throughout the D-A-CH region and is one of our unique selling points. It is not uncommon for the plates delivered from Bronschhofen/Wil to look like Swiss cheese.
New building opens up additional possibilities
With the new ‘prodrill’ production hall completed in 2021, we have not only invested in process and production optimisation, but also created new capacities for more in-depth machining. Thanks to the new premises and optimised space, we have been able to further improve workflows and reduce throughput times. The additional flexibility gained at all stages of production is greatly appreciated by our customers. Issues such as multiple clamping for deep hole drilling and pre-milling of P-plates are further pieces of the puzzle for greater efficiency and customer service.
