Laser technology, which is already widely used in the medical field, guarantees precision, consistency of result and good aesthetics thanks to the complete control of parameters. In this specific case, we are dealing with the production of elements for hearing aids, consisting of small welded titanium (gr.2.4) parts.
Our manual welding laser LMD allowed the operator to customize the pulse shape (in our case, output ramps) extending the stability zone and to control the energy so as to achieve full penetration in a thickness of just 0.05 mm without defects.
The LM-D was created specifically for high-precision machining; thanks to its vision system, Smart Spot technology for stable firing from the very first pulses and a large depth of field, and last but not least, ergonomics that ensure total operator comfort.
Due to the extreme speed of the process, it was possible to contain the thermally altered area so much that it becomes difficult to detect.
