Low-latency measurement data acquisition and processing using the example of magnetic field monitoring
Focus on low-latency data acquisition: Using the example of magnetic field monitoring, Benedikt Appold from Solectrix will show how analog RF data can be efficiently acquired and processed using a CPU/FPGA architecture – including insights into alternative approaches.
Using a specific product example, Benedikt Appold, Head of Business Unit Medical at Solectrix GmbH, will showcase a system architecture that enables efficient and reliable acquisition of analog high-frequency data from an RF front end and the subsequent low-latency transfer to a target system. A combination of CPU and FPGA is used, combining the strengths of both platforms for powerful real-time signal processing.
The presentation highlights typical challenges in implementing such systems and shows how high performance can be achieved through smart hardware/software co-design. In addition, alternative approaches on how similar tasks can be solved from a hardware and software perspective will be discussed – in a practical, comparative manner and with a focus on medical applications.
Please note: This presentation will be given in German.
