High-performance material for safe food and medical applications

Whether in medical devices or in food processing - uncompromisingly safe materials are required in safety-critical applications. PU500, a special high-performance polyurethane from the NT K+D AG range, is characterized by high wear resistance, elasticity and chemical resistance. This material conforms to food and medical standards and meets strict regulatory requirements such as FDA, USP Class VI, EU Regulation 10/2011 and Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004. Typical areas of application for PU500 and comparable materials range from seals in medical technology (e.g. valves, pumps or device seals) to components in food technology (e.g. seals, scrapers or conveyor elements in filling and processing systems). The materials are biocompatible and sterilizable and do not release any harmful substances. This makes them ideal for safety-critical applications in which durability and purity have top priority.
